• All KED drives support multiple communication protocols as standard. During setup, simply choose between EtherNet/IP CIP Sync, EtherCAT, or PROFINET IRT.
• High-resolution absolute multiturn feedback SFD-M as standard – comparable to Hiperface and EnDat feedback devices. The SFD-M tracks the position of the rotor shaft over 360° and counts revolutions in both directions without requiring a home position. Its absolute multiturn capability is ideal for precise position tracking over long distances. Position data is retained even in the event of a power failure thanks to energy harvesting technology, eliminating the need for a reference run at startup.
• Minimal cogging torque of the motors for smooth operation, even at low speeds
• The new Express Setup layout with WorkBench offers a preconfigured plug-and-play solution for simplified commissioning. With Kollmorgen's Express Setup layout in WorkBench, a simple, graphical configuration tool for PCs that guides you through the entire commissioning process, you can get your application up and running in 20 minutes or less.
• Each KED drive offers two fast digital inputs with a response time of <1 μs, which can also be used for a secondary, incremental feedback solution. Two standard digital inputs and outputs are also integrated.
• KED drives are equipped with the certified Safe Torque Off (STO) SIL 2 / PL d safety function.
